My real name is Sara Ladd,

but everyone calls me Laddie.

I am a fine artist living in Greenville, South Carolina. I graduated from Clemson in 2016 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts and have been a working studio artist ever since.

When not painting I love to find inspiration cooking, taking long walks with friends, and spending time with my husband, Benji.

I am always looking to landscape as a place for inspiration in my paintings. I use landscape as a metaphor for who we are as people and the experiences we have throughout our lives. The process of creating a work of art on canvas is a constant reminder of the process of exploring my own mental, emotional, and physical journey.

I aim for my paintings to be a safe place for anyone to land. To be a sanctuary of sorts, where one can rest and where peace comes. Landscape is my vehicle to transport the viewer to a place where they feel that this journey happens for a cause greater than oneself.
